Independent video work inspired by the film Yi Yi
Video Director Kenneth Yuen works with Edward Lam, to create a video work based on 14 Variations on the Theme of Yi Yi (On Stage). Through moving images, the pair transform and transcend the theatre work. Earlier this year, the two Taiwanese actors flew to Hong Kong, after their quarantine, they went into the cleared office space of Edward Lam Dance Theatre for rehearsal, and preview performance shooting. With the same text in different spaces, the two parts form another variation.
